As you know AnyForty are well known for working with big name illustrators from around the globe, but we want to give opportunity to those of you might not have had chance to catch a break in the industry to show what you can do and show you can compete with the world famous 123Klan’s and McFaul studio’s of this world. Anyone’s free to enter though. No matter if you’re well known or a newbie. Get involved!
So here’s the jist…
Basically, ever since we were nippers we’ve been fan’s of US sports in general, so Basketball, American Football, Ice Hockey etc… being fans of those sports and also being obsessed with design and illustration we couldn’t escape being obsessed with the logo’s and branding of some of those teams.
So here’s where you come in, we’re gonna give two of you lucky pups chance to cook up a illo for a tee. You can use up to 5 colours to create a logo illustration for our very own fictional sports team. That’s a complete illustration with mascot, text, the lot.
There’ll be 7 fictional teams to chose from to create branding for, 2 winning pieces will be printed up as part of a future limited edition run of only 40 Sports Pack tee’s. Complete with name of the team on the back and number 40 all those slick details (don’t worry about those, we’ll sort them nearer the time) that are on US sports jersey’s.
The final piece will need to have illustrated name and type of the team, aswell as a mascot(s).
If you’re one of the two winners you’ll get your illustration printed up on a tee and will have your name in the AnyForty hall of fame alongside all the big dogs as well as a pack of 5 screenprints from our recent Versus Exhibition and a a batch of tee’s to give to friends and fam.
Deadline is September 30th and you need to email your final entries as a illustrator ai file to email@example.com
Balls in your court now, load up illustrator, get those sketch books out and wow us all!
Here’s the 7 teams you can choose from to illustrate. The name of the team should be biggest, AnyForty smaller.
Here’s some examples of the sort of thing we mean. If you’ve any questions drop us a email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Closing date for entries will be Thursday 30th September. A select panel of AnyForty Versus collaborators will help judge the final piece. You can enter as many times or do as many different teams as you want. But please remember we’re all about quality and skill over here. Take your time and impress us!
You can grab our logo’s from here if you want to include them in your design.
Another quick update to let you know about another store who’ve recently become a stockist of AnyForty, Ollie and his team over at Switch on the Isle Of Wight have just taken delivery of a few designs from the Versus 2 range. Again if you live in those ends or are there on your summer hols go pop in, check the store out and cop a tee yo!
We’ve got a few new stores on board lately who’ve been bitten by the AnyForty bug. First up is a sick clothing store and coffee house in Plymouth called Forty Five, take look at there store in the pics below and if you’re in the local area pop in, cop a tee and grab a coffee! Big up Forty Five for joining the family!
Here’s a sneak peak at some designs we’re playing around with for a possible refix range,. It’s basically a tee from our previous range reworked in a new colourway. and released at a random stage throughout the year, no autumn/winter/spring/summer range to work to, you check the store one day and it’s just there!!!
None of the designs shown or colourways are finalized, just leaking some ideas for your eyes.
Are there any tee’s we’ve done that you’d really like to see in a new colourway?
So, we’ve been steadily growing for the last 2 1/2 years but we decided now was the time to smash the piggy bank open and invest in what’s easily the most influential streetwear shows the UK has to offer to try and get us a lil more brick and mortar store coverage. So we hollered at our man Odysseas over at Margin, parted with a carrier bag full of cash money dollar dollar bill y’all, took the plunge and booked our slot.
Saturday, crack of dawnin’ and we jumped on the train from Bath to London and headed to the Music Rooms next to Bond Street tube station with a bag full of our products, some prints, a foam board AnyForty logo, a small forest worth of printed promo gear to set up for the Sunday and Monday shows.
The show saw us exhibiting alongside some big boy brands like Obey, WESC, Gravis, Duffy’s and Silas amongst many others, we met plenty cool new people, was introduced to some sick new upstart brands and scored some frankly amazing new stores to add to our dealers list alongside long time AnyForty supporters Urban Industry and Focus Skate Store.
We’re super stoked with the new stores that got onboard train AnyForty and we’ll introduce you to them real soon, but till then take a peak at some pics from the event. We’re knackered from 3 days hustling and can’t be arsed to type anything else so we’re out now… Inabityo!!!
